The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

What bettors need to know: VCU vs. USC

VCU vs. USC (-4.5, 127.5)

THE STORY: Virginia Commonwealth, which many say stole a bid that should have gone to Colorado or Virginia Tech, gets to defend its reputation Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio, when it plays battle-tested USC in a play-in game. The matchup of No. 11 seeds features a team that finished fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association against one whose coach, Kevin O’Neill, got suspended during the Pac-10 tournament. O’Neill is back for the NCAA tournament. The Trojans, who were ineligible for the postseason last year due to the O.J. Mayo scandal, are a dangerous team that starts three seniors and two juniors.

ABOUT VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH (23-11): A controversial at-large team, VCU earned its way into the tournament with wins over UCLA, Old Dominion and George Mason and by going 8-6 on the road. The Rams nearly upset ODU again in the Colonial Athletic Association championship game. Forward Jamie Skeen (15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 38 percent on 3-pointers) leads four players who average in double figures, and he and Bradford Burgess (14.0 points, 40 percent on 3-pointers) cannot be left alone outside. VCU’s biggest weakness is on the boards. The Rams grab 32 rebounds a game, which ranks 301st nationally.

ABOUT USC (19-14): O’Neill was suspended during the Pac-10 tournament for getting in an altercation at a hotel with an Arizona booster. He’ll face additional discipline and a fine. His return is a nice boost for the Trojans, who lost 67-62 to Arizona in his absence. USC’s record isn’t impressive, but the Trojans own five wins against teams in the RPI top 50, and they played the nation’s 39th toughest schedule. Junior forward Nikola Vucevic (17.3 points, 10.2 rebounds) leads the Pac-10 with 21 double-doubles, and Jio Fontan (10.4 points, 4.0 assists) and Alex Stephenson (10.0 points, 9.2 rebounds) have stepped up lately. The Trojans are stout defensively, holding opponents to 62.7 points on 41.1 percent shooting.

UP NEXT: Winner plays No. 6 seed Georgetown on Friday in Chicago.

PREDICTION: USC 68, VCU 60 – The Trojans have won six of eight, including victories over Arizona and Washington, and four of their early losses came when Fontan, the point guard, was ineligible. Remember this is the team that nearly beat Kansas in Lawrence, losing 70-68. Look for USC to dominate the glass with the 6-10 Vucevic and 6-10 Stephenson.

What bettors need to know: Alabama St. vs. Texas-SA

Alabama State vs. Texas-San Antonio (-4, 129.5)

THE STORY: The two lowest-rated teams in the RPI to qualify for the NCAA tournament meet in the first round, as Texas-San Antonio takes on Alabama State on Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio. The victor will try to become the first No. 16 seed to upend a No. 1 seed in the history of the NCAA tournament. Adding to the gravity of the challenge? That game will be against Ohio State, the No. 1 team in the country in the final national polls. Neither program has ever won an NCAA tournament game.

ABOUT TEXAS-SAN ANTONIO (19-13): The Roadrunners had to beat Texas-Arlington in their regular-season finale just to qualify for the Southland tournament as the seventh seed. They then won four straight games to garner the automatic bid for the NCAAs. Senior point guard Devin Gibson is the straw that stirs the drink for UTSA. He leads the Roadrunners in scoring (17.0 ppg) and assists (5.6 apg), and his 5.4 rebounds per game rank second on the squad. Gibson had four double-doubles and two triple-doubles this season.

ABOUT ALABAMA STATE (17-17): Alabama State is far and away the lowest-ranked team in the RPI to make the NCAA field. The Hornets were 263rd. No other NCAA participant had an RPI of 200 or lower. The Hornets were a dreadful 6-16 heading into the month of February. But coach Lewis Jackson’s team won 11 of the next 12 games, including a run to the SWAC tournament title. Chris Duncan was the SWAC Defensive Player of the Year this season, helping Alabama State lead the conference in field-goal percentage defense, while averaging 1.7 blocks per game. Tramayne Moorer leads the Hornets in scoring at 12.5 and was named SWAC tournament MVP.

UP NEXT: Winner plays Ohio State on Friday at 4:40 p.m.

PREDICTION: Alabama State 64, Texas-San Antonio 61 – Frontcourt play is the key here, as Alabama State was one of the better rebounding teams in the
SWAC this season and Texas-Arlington regularly gets beaten on the boards. Alabama State wins a low-scoring game in a mild upset.

Pony picks: Wednesday's best horse racing bets

Sticking with tracks with what I perceive to be speed biases and hoping to get the right speed horse. I admit I haven’t done well so far, but neither have the favorites in the races I’ve picked. And, yes, I’m grasping at straws.

Aqueduct Race 8

The favorite Bwana Babe is coming off a pretty lengthy vacation and I’m hoping that catches her a bit flat footed. She’s also tried this level three times before and so far doesn't have a win to show for it. So, I’m going with Spa City Princess who led gate to wire last month in a 60k state bred stakes race. I’m hoping she can show some early speed - her pace figures aren’t quite what some others here have, but I’m factoring in an inside post to help her. At 8/1 I think she has value.

Gulfstream Race 8

One mile on the turf where the front runners have started doing well again, I’m going with Dagney Darling, in only her second race. I know I’m not big on recent maiden winners, but looking at what else is available. She has a winning trip over this track, showed some good speed early in her last race, and while coming home the last furlong and a half in 18 seconds isn’t great, it’s not bad for a maiden. I’m a big Barclay Tagg fan and he can surprise in these turf races.

Ice picks: Wednesday's best NHL bets

St. Louis Blues at Anaheim Ducks (-155, 5.5)

Randy Carlyle’s Ducks don’t take well to getting embarrassed – especially in front of their hometown fans. That’s why the Blues are in major trouble in this one.

St. Louis shook off its season-long offensive issues by hammering the Ducks 9-3 last month and you can bet the boys in the Anaheim dressing room have had this one circled on the calendar ever since.

That loss served as a bit of a wakeup call for the Ducks as they have gone 5-3-1 following that blowout and the club’s offense looks to be ready to return the favor to St. Louis here. The Ducks ran into a hot Ilya Bryzgalov in a 5-2 loss to Phoenix on Sunday but had buried 11 goals in two games before that.

Anaheim is in an absolute dogfight just to get into the playoffs and this could be the springboard game the team needs to really get going. After hosting the Blues, the Ducks play seven of their last 12 on the road, so they can’t throw away any more points.

The over and the Ducks look good here, but we’ll stick with the side.

Pick: Ducks

Washington Capitals at Detroit Red Wings (-150, 5.5)

For all the moaning and whining about what’s wrong with the Capitals this season, you might be surprised if you take a quick look at the standings.

Washington sat one point behind Philadelphia for the top spot in the Eastern Conference with 90 points before they dropped Montreal 4-2 on Tuesday, the club's 11th win in 12 games. Detroit sits second in the West with, you guessed it, 90 points.

"I think we are a bigger and fairly stronger team, but there are teams that are definitely overall quicker, so we have to play to our strengths to succeed and lately we have been doing that,” Caps coach Bruce Boudreau told reporters.

That's what they'll be dealing with Wednesday. Detroit has won consecutive contests after enduring a four-game losing streak but the Wings may be going through a bit of a down spell before they’ll inevitably rev it up as the postseason nears.

At this price it’s worth a shot on Washington, even in the back-to-back situation.

Pick: Capitals

Pick 'n' roll: Wednesday's best basketball bets

Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Clippers (-1, 198.5)

Both the Clippers and 76ers have had their moments this year.

Blake Griffin has helped Los Angeles become relevant again with his rim-rattling dunks and the team may have been a much better bet this season if it had been able to stay healthy.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia has been a scrappy team all season and is now looking to hold onto one the last playoff spots in the East as the club continues to pad its supporters’ pockets – the 76ers sit third in the league with a 41-25-1 record against the number. However, with the playoffs nearing, Philadelphia is sputtering.

“We’ve had some slippage losing two in a row and with the playoff push coming down this last stretch, we just gotta catch ourselves and hopefully we’ll get back on track in L.A,” 76ers guard Lou Williams told reporters.

The Clippers are tough at home and this one could go down to the wire.

Pick: Clippers

Nebraska Cornhuskers at Wichita State Shockers (-4, 124)

The NIT is full of teams that are happy to keep playing, but can’t help but think what might have been. Nebraska is one of those clubs after the Cornhuskers lost and failed to cover in four of its last five games.

Some of those losses were pretty ugly too as th7e couldn’t get it done against the likes of Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma State.

“We’re disappointed in that two weeks ago we were playing for a chance to go to the NCAA tournament,’’ Nebraska coach Doc Sadler told reporters. “But the fact is we didn’t get it done. And the next best thing is the NIT.”

Doesn’t sound overly enthusiastic, does he?

Meanwhile, Wichita State wasn’t much better down the stretch and has covered only once over its last six outings, but we see the Shockers getting up for this home game and relying on their depth to get past Nebraska, which has just one true road victory this season.

Pick: Shockers

Wednesday's betting tips: Odds favor USC vs. VCU

Who’s hot

NCAAB: Alabama State has covered each of its last three games heading into Wednesday’s game against Texas-San Antonio as a 3.5-point underdog.

NCAAB: USC has covered in six of its last eight overall.

NBA: The Los Angeles Clippers are 11-2 against the spread in their last 13 home games.

NBA: The over has cashed in on nine of Dallas’ last 12 road games and 17 of its last 23 overall.

NHL: Each of the last six meetings between the Blues and Ducks have played over the total.

Who’s not

NBA: Cleveland is just 1-5 against the spread in its last six meetings with Sacramento.

NBA: Utah has covered just once over its last nine home games.

NHL: The Toronto Maple Leafs have won only one of their last five contests overall.

Key stat

4 – number of points Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has over the last two games combined. The Celtics have dropped five of their last six against the number and Rondo isn't helping matters. ESPN’s Bill Simmons, a diehard Celtics supporter, tweeted on Tuesday that Rondo is averaging just seven points, 6.8 assists while shooting only 33 percent from the field over the last five games. The Celtics host Indiana on Wednesday.

Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked

Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns: Nash expects to return to the lineup Wednesday after missing the last two games with pubic-symphysis irritation and the Suns desperately need him back. They managed just 88 points in a blowout loss to Orlando and 93 points in Monday’s loss to Houston. There’s still no word whether he’ll start or how much he expects to play, but even if he’s still banged up, he should give the offense a bit of a boost.

Game of the day

VCU Rams vs. USC Trojans (-4.5, 127)

Notable quotable

"In order for us to win games, we know we have to defend every night," LeBron James told reporters after the Heat destroyed the Spurs on Monday. "It’s great to come out against an explosive offensive team and hold them under their averages." – That’s exactly what the Heat were doing earlier this season after they got off to a slow start and they’ll be up against another high-octane offense Wednesday with the Thunder coming to town. Oklahoma City is averaging 104.8 points per game, good for fifth in the Association.

Notes and tips

The USC Trojan’s record (19-14 straight up) doesn’t look like much until you realize they played the nation’s 39th toughest schedule and have five wins over teams in the RPI top 50. The club’s also getting coach Kevin O’Neill back after he was suspended for one game during the conference tournament for getting into an altercation with a fan.

The Miami Heat hope to have their big man, Zydrunas Ilgauskas back for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder. Ilgauskas has missed the last two games after he had to be hospitalized with an infected foot over the weekend after he stepped on a nail at his house last week. Big Z is currently listed as questionable.

Alabama State heads into Wednesday’s matchup with Texas-San Antonio with the worst outright record in the NCAA Tournament at just 17-17. However, that mark is a little deceiving as the team dealt with a rash of injuries throughout the season and rebounded to win 11 of its last 12 to earn a ticket to the dance.

Real Madrid vs. Lyon: Champs League odds and picks

REAL MADRID (-1.5, +110) vs. OLYMPIQUE LYON (3 goals under -135)

Real scuffled past shorthanded Hercules 2-0 and Lyon convincingly beat Sochaux 2-0 away on Saturday. The first leg was a 1-1 draw in Lyon.

Dog-and-under please. These teams' formations cancel each other out well. Lyon's going to wait for the second half before trying to score. If either team gets a goal, the leader will start streaming defensive midfielders into the game to try to kill the match off. Both teams will start with two holding midfielders in front of a back-four, so there's little room to start with.

Real has been unstoppable at home this season, but a 1-0 result looks about right. If and when the goal goes in, the club has an extra reason to start resting forwards: there's a key trip across town to Atlety on Saturday, and anything less than a win there sees whatever slim chance there is of winning the Spanish Liga disappear.

Real should have Cristiano Ronaldo (hamstring) available for this one, but the oft-injured Kaka is out again. Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Pepe and Angel Di Maria are all banged up. Any or all four could start on the bench. Karim Benzema is suddenly in form up front and eager to play his former club; Lass could continue his guest role as a defensive midfielder.

Lyon misses Michel Bastos through suspension, but welcomes back in-form Lisandro. Cris and Yoann Gorcouff sat against Sochaux on the weekend but are probable to play hurt here. Left-back Aly Cissokho almost certainly misses out with a thigh strain. Thimothee Kolodziejczak could come in on a straight swap, or Lamine Gossama could play the right with usual right-back Anthony Reveilliere manning the left. Either way, we're promised four at the back, which helps the under.

Pick: Real 1, Lyon 0.

CHELSEA (-1.5, +110) vs. FC COPENHAGEN (2.5 goals over -125)

Chelsea won 3-1 away to Blackpool on Monday last week; Copenhagen beat bottom-feeders AaB 1-0 away on Saturday. Chelsea pretty much wrapped this thing up with a 2-0 first-leg win in Copenhagen.

Ordinarily I might just pass this game where the overall result is not in doubt. This time I want to back Chelsea, just like in the first leg. Chelsea may only send out half of the first team, but those players on the pitch will fancy that they are fighting for next year's places after this year's flop.

Lots of people would be satisfied with Chelsea's season to date. Owner Roman Abramovich is not one of those people. Fourth in the league and out of the Cup, backroom staff is defecting at every turn. Nobody's safe this summer, including the manager. Oh, and Ashley Cole shot a co-op student at practice from close range with something between a pellet gun and a .22 depending on who is telling the story. Good times, but only if you're Charlie Sheen.

If Chelsea go out and hammers Copenhagen, does that make everything right inside the club? No, but it'll be a fourth win in a row including one against Manchester United. It's also a ticket to the quarterfinals punched in emphatic fashion, and positive reinforcement before an absolutely crucial league game this weekend against Man City. Might as well go for it.

I don't expect Copenhagen to score, so the side is better than going over the total. Chelsea to shut out the Danes (“to keep a clean sheet”) is interesting, but it's so hard to get fair odds on that stuff I rarely even bother to look anymore.

Pick: Chelsea 3, Copenhagen 0

Miami Heat Welcome Thunder For NBA Betting Battle

Oklahoma City Thunder at Miami Heat (-6.5, 202.5)

Two of pro basketball’s elite squads currently in the midst of winning streaks collide Tuesday when the Southeast Division-leading Miami Heat host the Northwest Division-leading Oklahoma City Thunder in the first game of an ESPN doubleheader. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. (PT).

Oklahoma City extended its winning streak to four with Monday’s 116-89 victory against Washington. The Thunder easily covered as 8½-point home favorites, giving them their fourth straight pointspread success and lifting their overall spread record to 35-31.

Three of Oklahoma City’s four victories during the streak occurred on the road where the club is 20-14 SU and 18-16 ATS. The squad is outscoring its opponents on the road by an average of one point per game (102-101).

The combined 207 points in Monday’s outing barely dipped below the closing total, which enabled the ‘under’ to cash in the Thunder’s last three games. However, the ‘over’ is 38-28 in their first 66 encounters.

Center Kendrick Perkins made his Oklahoma City debut against the Wizards after missing nine games with a left knee sprain.

Perkins registered six points and nine rebounds during his 20 minutes of playing time. Perkins had not appeared in a game for Oklahoma City since being shipped to the Thunder from the Celtics at the Feb. 24 trade deadline.

Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant, who leads the NBA in scoring with an average of 28 points per game, notched a game-high 32 markers against the Wizards. Durant was 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point line and 9-of-9 from the charity stripe.

Scott Brooks’ Thunder rank fifth in the league offensively with a 104.8 PPG average. Much of that offensive success has occurred at the free throw line where the team shoots a league-leading 82.7 percent.

However, Oklahoma City ranks 20th defensively by yielding an average of 101.7 PPG. The club is allowing the opposition to shoot 46.2 percent from the field, which ranks 19th.

Miami has won and covered its last three games, including impressive victories against the league-leading Spurs and the Pacific Division-leading Lakers.

Monday’s 110-80 victory against the Spurs was Miami’s most stunning, as the Heat avenged a 30-point loss to San Antonio just 10 days earlier.

Despite easily covering as a five-point favorite, Miami is just 14-20 ATS in its first 34 home dates.

Though the Heat are now a nifty 46-21 SU through their first 67 outings, they are a money-burning 32-34-1 ATS. Miami is outscoring the opposition by an average of seven points per game (101-94).

The trio of Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James again led the way for Miami.

Bosh had 30 points on 10-of-16 shooting and was 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. He also hauled down 12 rebounds. Wade added 29 points on 11-of-23 shooting. He was 7-of-7 from the free-throw line to go along with nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks. James had 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting with six rebounds and eight assists.

Miami and Oklahoma City have met once this season (Jan. 30), with the Heat registering a 108-103 victory as one-point road underdogs. That leaves the road team 10-1 ATS in the last 11 series meetings.

The combined 211 points leaped above the 201½-point closing total, enabling the ‘over’ to improve to 7-1 in the last eight series meetings.

Wade led the Heat with 32 points and nine assists, while James added 23 points and 13 assists. The Thunder were led by Durant’s 33 points and 10 rebounds.

Miami shot 52 percent from the floor while holding the Thunder to just 40 percent. Both teams were 8-of-18 from beyond the arc. Oklahoma City held a 54-49 rebounding edge, while Miami had one more assist (21-20). Miami was 22-of-32 from the free throw line, while Oklahoma City was 27-of-34.

The Heat will hit the road for a Friday contest at Atlanta, while the Thunder will begin a six-game homestand Friday against Charlotte.
